Rafael was raised on a small dairy farm in Brazil, helping his father to milk and manage 45 cows. He received a degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2000 and completed his M.Sc. degree in Animal Nutrition in 2003 at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) in Brazil.
In July 2003, Rafael started working for Chr. Hansen Inc. and provided technical support for silage inoculants throughout South American. In 2010 Rafael joined Delaval Ltd as Nutrition Manager for South America, responsible for managing the nutritional portfolio and providing technical support for the company’s team members and its customers. In 2012, Rafael completed a Master in Business Administration degree at Fundação Dom Cabral (FDC) in Brazil.
In February 2013, Rafael started working for Bruno Rimini Ltd. He is responsible for developing the market for Silostop products in the whole of Latin America, Portugal and Spain by training Silostop distributors and providing technical support to Silostop end users. For the past 12 years, Rafael has worked with more than 1,000 beef and dairy producers and given hundreds of presentations on cattle nutrition and silage management. Rafael is currently based in the city of Lavras, which is in Minas Gerais state in Brazil.
