4m ARK Sloping Wall Systems for Agriculture Now Available

4m ARK Sloping Wall Systems for Agriculture Now Available

Following the successful development, installation, and full-season observation of 4-metre-high ARK silage clamp systems for an anaerobic digestion (AD) customer, Silostop Agri is now pleased to offer this new high-capacity option to dairy farmers across the UK. The 4m ARK sloping wall system joins our established 3m model as part of a robust, engineered solution for efficient silage storage.

Over the past decade, Silostop Agri has supported more than 280 silage clamp installations across the UK, helping farmers and feed operators reduce spoilage, streamline operations, and improve forage conservation. As demand for increased clamp capacity has grown, particularly from larger dairy farms and AD plants, we were approached to develop a taller version of our popular system.

Purpose-Built for Greater Capacity

After extensive research, structural re-engineering, and the development of a new patented seating channel, the 4m system is now ready for widespread agricultural use. This new wall height increases the overall volume of stored silage, improving site efficiency without increasing the clamp footprint.

Each 4m panel is 125mm thick (compared with 100mm on the 3m system) and weighs approximately 3.1 tonnes, compared with 1.8 tonnes for the 3m version. The panels retain the proven 2.5m length multiples to ensure smooth and cost-effective transport and handling logistics.

Designed with Practical Use in Mind

Our concrete silage clamp team uses a detailed modelling spreadsheet to simulate and plan key aspects of the clamp’s performance. These calculations account for:

  • Feed-out rates to help maintain a fresh silage face

  • Overall clamp volume, based on different crop types and compaction levels

  • Surcharge height and wall load considerations

  • Access requirements for mixing, blending, and operational flow

  • Potential for expansion in good growing seasons or future herd growth

By increasing the wall height to 4m and optimising the clamp’s width and layout, farmers can achieve significantly higher storage capacities. This upgrade is particularly beneficial for operations needing to store large amounts of forage while keeping feed quality high and minimising the spoilage risk.

Built for Longevity and Performance

Silostop’s ARK wall systems are designed to offer long-term durability and are manufactured using high-strength concrete to withstand the demands of modern agricultural operations. The sloping design improves silage compaction and helps prevent material build-up at the wall base, a common problem with vertical walls.

Expert Support and No-Obligation Site Reviews

Choosing the right clamp layout and wall height is crucial to ensure efficient feed management and maximum return on investment. That’s why our concrete silage clamp team is available to provide free, no-obligation site assessments, tailored layout plans, and detailed quotations for both 3m and 4m wall systems.

Whether you’re upgrading your current setup or planning a new clamp build, we’re here to help you find the most suitable, future-proof solution for your farm.
