This autumn, Meghan and Anne-Marie packed their bags and hit the road to visit two of our most important warehouse locations, starting with a trip to our main hub in the Midwest.
Their mid-September journey was all about connection, observation, and hands-on collaboration. As two of our key leaders, Meghan and Anne-Marie understand that nothing replaces the value of face-to-face conversations and walking the floors where the real work happens.
At our Midwest warehouse, the team welcomed them with open arms. This facility plays a central role in our operations, both in terms of volume and strategy. The visit was a great opportunity to check in on current processes, meet with the staff, and gain fresh insights into day-to-day operations.
From exploring new workflow optimizations to discussing upcoming seasonal demands, Meghan and Anne-Marie made the most of their time on-site. They listened to feedback from the floor team, celebrated recent performance milestones, and in a sweet nod to Anne-Marie's nationality, enjoyed fellowship with the team at a nearby Irish pub and restaurant.
After their stop in the Midwest, the journey continued westward to visit another standout facility, a fifth-generation, family-run operation that has been part of our extended logistics network for years.
Located central to the dairies in the PNW and California's Central Valley, this warehouse is a shining example of tradition meeting innovation. The team, known for their warm and welcoming spirit, made Meghan and Anne-Marie feel right at home from the moment they walked through the doors.
The legacy of this family-run operation was felt in every corner, from the pride in the work to the deep-rooted sense of teamwork and community. While the facility runs like a well-oiled machine, it’s the people behind it that truly stood out. Conversations flowed easily, with shared stories about the warehouse’s evolution, its role in the local community, and its long-standing partnership with our company.
Much like in the Midwest, the visit out West was both energizing and insightful. It reinforced the importance of fostering strong relationships across all our warehouse partners, whether we’re optimizing performance or simply expressing appreciation for a job well done.
These visits are just one of the many ways we ensure strong alignment between leadership and logistics. And as Meghan and Anne-Marie returned from their travels, they brought back more than just notes and photos, they returned with renewed appreciation, actionable ideas, and a deeper connection to the heart of our operations.
